14001:2015 Transition Checklist
If you are thinking of preparing an ISO 14001 2015 version Environmental Management System (EMS) then where do you start?
We start with a Gap Analysis to determine the gap between your current management system and an ISO 14001 conforming EMS. A Gap Analysis is used to assess an organization’s scope, readiness, and resources for building the Environmental Management Systems. It also provides us with the data to develop a project plan for ISO 14001 implementation.
This gap analysis checklist can be used in evaluating your Environmental Management Systems (EMS) against the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 as you transition from ISO 14001:2005 to ISO 14001:2015.
ISO 14001 checklist is considered a very good tool for auditors to make an audit questionnaire to verify the effectiveness of the implemented Environmental management system. A total of more than 100 internal ISO 14001 audit requirements are prepared based on ISO 14001:2015 standard.
This ISO 14001 checklist shall be filled in by the business that are applying for, or wish to renew its certification. If a certified business has made big changes in the management system’s structure, the ISO 14001 checklist also shall be filled in.
The paragraphs arranged in the ISO 14001 checklist are in the same order as given in the official standard. In some cases, they are also referred to as other required documents.
